Dear Prospective Student:

Congratulations on your decision to go to law school! I'd like to invite you to closely consider applying and enrolling at The University of Chicago Law School. As you prepare to choose a school, I urge you to take the time to make an informed decision, as attending the right law school for you will have a great impact on your success as a law student, and ultimately, your success as an attorney.  The members of the Black Law Students Association would like to personally extend to you our invitation to join us here at UChicago.

The Law School is an amazing place to begin your development as a legal practicioner.  The Chicago Law experience is a unique one, which cannot be parallelled by any other law school.  From our very first class to our last, we are taught in intimate settings by world class professors, who are as approachable as they are intelligent.  Members of our alumni network, who are amongst the most distinguished in their professions, still remain eager to interact with and support current students.  Our student body is composed of some of the most bright and intellectually curious people in the country. These many strengths, coupled with a location in the best city in the Midwest -- Chicago -- gives you a clear picture why there is no better choice than Chicago Law.  

Law school is sure to be emotionally and intellectually one of the most challenging processes that you have ever endured, no matter which school you ultimately choose.  It is therefore imperative that you have a strong support system by your side during your three year journey.  Your fellow Chicago BLSA members will be just that to you.  Having a community of support will be of great help to you as you transition into the UChicago Law School Community; we welcome the opportunity to serve you in that way.
